# 73 Chris - ONe Hundred Alla Prima Portraits of American Teenagers

                                                                                 Chris
(Advice for other teens) "Relax and don't make such a big deal about things that aren't important.  Focus on things that matter." (My hope for the future is) "There will be a cure for all types of cancer and people learn to love one another instead of fighting and bullying."

Chris, his brother Seth, and several friends have shaved their heads and grown mohawks in support of Chris and Seth's mom, Jane Bingham, who is fighting cancer. They have formed "Mohawks for Mom", and will be running tonight in a Relay-for-Life event to raise funds and awareness for cancer research. You can go to their Facebook page if you would like to support them by purchasing a T-shirt or you can make a donation.

  1. Another beautiful portrait of Chris and very emotional. An incredible thing to do for his Mom.

  4. Thank you! HIs mohawk was huge, and amazing, and went way about the canvas size. I wanted all of the paintings in this series to be the same size. Their efforts mean a lot to me, as Pam and I lost our mom to cancer when we were still teenagers. Pam is my older sister and has looked out for me ever since! Thanks, Pam :)

  5. This is a wonderful painting. The sitter is so contemplative and you've found that in the drawing and the color is really stunning. Fantastic work and a great project.
