Molly #22 - One Hundred Alla Prima Portraits of American Teenagers

 "Molly"
It was special to have Molly pose because her grandmother, Jane King, who is a wonderful artist, was painting along with us. Posing is not easy for teenagers, but when Molly ran from the model stand and threw up, I realized what a trooper she was. I love this type of profile, it reminds me of the wonderful Renaissance portraits.

  3. Thanks Pam and Linda. I like the way the light shows on her jaw in this pose, and the half tones were so easy to see. Sometimes it seems so easy, like this one, but that is not always the case!

  4. I agree..really like the classic pose and modeling of skin tone. I especially like the dash of color in her earring! Poor Molly...I hope she's feeling much better!

  5. Thanks, Amy. I love it when there are strong spots of color, such as jewelry, that can be dashed off!
